Characteristics
The Mimaki UJF-7151 Plus-II UV-LED Flatbed Printer is a high-performance direct-to-object printing system engineered for exceptional image quality, production speed, precision, and application versatility.
Designed for professional industrial printing and product-decoration environments, the UJF-7151 Plus-II combines a substantial 28" x 20" maximum printable area with the ability to print on materials and objects up to 6" thick and 66 lb, making it suitable for everything from promotional products and signage to electronics components, packaging prototypes, personalized merchandise, panels, and manufactured goods.
At the heart of the UJF-7151 Plus-II is an advanced eight-head staggered printhead configuration. The additional printheads provide increased productivity while supporting multiple color and specialty-ink configurations based on the requirements of the application.
For applications where maximum color quality is important, the printer can be configured with CMYK plus Light Cyan and Light Magenta, producing smoother gradients, more natural tonal transitions, and reduced graininess. Specialty channels can also be utilized for inks such as White, Clear, Primer, and Metallic Silver, depending on the selected ink configuration.
For production environments focused on throughput, the printer can utilize a 4C + 4C doubled-CMYK configuration, providing high-speed four-color printing. Mimaki specifies print speeds of up to 8.0 m²/h with the high-productivity CMYK configuration.
Print resolution reaches up to an impressive 1800 dpi, enabling the production of fine text, detailed graphics, photographic images, intricate patterns, and other demanding applications requiring high-definition output.
Mimaki UV-curable ink technology allows ink to be cured during the printing process using UV-LED technology, enabling direct printing onto a broad range of compatible rigid and flexible substrates. Depending on the selected ink and material, applications can include acrylic, plastics, metal, glass, wood, leather, promotional products, signs, plaques, packaging components, electronics housings, and many other manufactured items.
The UJF-7151 Plus-II supports multiple Mimaki UV ink families, allowing operators to select ink characteristics suited to specific applications. Available solutions include LH-100 for applications requiring strong scratch and chemical resistance, LUS-120 for flexible applications, and LUS-350 for applications requiring significant elongation, including compatible thermoforming processes.
Specialty ink capability expands the printer beyond conventional CMYK production. White ink enables printing on transparent and colored substrates, while Clear ink can create gloss, texture, and dimensional effects. PR-200 Primer can help improve adhesion on compatible materials, while MUH-100-Si Metallic Silver provides additional decorative and metallic possibilities.
Mimaki's Color Gloss functionality further expands creative production by allowing glossy visual effects to be generated using color ink, providing additional decorative possibilities without relying solely on conventional clear-ink effects.
The printer also supports Mimaki Device Language (MDL) commands, allowing the UJF-7151 Plus-II to communicate with compatible external automation equipment. This functionality can be used to integrate printing into automated manufacturing workflows involving workpiece loading, unloading, conveying, and other pre- or post-print processes.
For variable production, the included RasterLink7 RIP software supports functions such as numbering and variable-data insertion, making the system well suited for customized merchandise, serialized components, identification products, and short-run personalized production.
Combining high-resolution printing, eight-head productivity, specialty ink capability, substantial media clearance, and industrial automation support, the Mimaki UJF-7151 Plus-II provides a versatile platform for businesses looking to expand high-value direct-to-object UV printing capabilities.
