Characteristics
The PAT Foam With Frame Filter – Micro Unit is a replacement pre-filter assembly designed for the PAT Micro Filtrabox / Micro-X fume extraction system. Positioned at the initial filtration stage, the foam filter helps remove airborne particulate and dust from the incoming air stream before contaminants reach the system's critical downstream HEPA filter.
By capturing particulate during the pre-filtration stage, the foam filter helps reduce loading on the HEPA filter, supporting longer filter service life and maintaining efficient airflow through the filtration system.
Unlike the earlier disposable-style pre-filter configuration, the updated foam element is washable and reusable, allowing it to be cleaned and returned to service as needed. This design can reduce routine filter replacement costs while simplifying ongoing Micro Filtrabox maintenance.
The foam element is supplied with its supporting frame, providing a complete framed pre-filter assembly for the Micro Unit. The frame helps maintain proper positioning and fit within the filtration system during operation.
For convenient maintenance, it is recommended to keep one complete foam filter with frame installed and an additional replacement foam element available. This allows a clean spare to be placed into service while the other foam filter is being cleaned and dried.
