The PAT Foam Replacement Micro Foam Only – Micro Unit is a replacement foam pre-filter designed for use with the PAT Micro Filtrabox fume extraction system. It replaces the foam media inside the reusable pre-filter frame, allowing operators to refresh the first stage of filtration without purchasing another complete framed filter assembly.
Positioned at the first stage of the Filtrabox filtration system, the foam pre-filter captures airborne particulate before the contaminated air reaches the system's HEPA and OXY-Carbon filtration stages. This reduces particulate loading on the downstream filters and helps prevent premature HEPA filter clogging.
PAT Filtrabox systems use a three-stage filtration approach consisting of pre-filtration, HEPA filtration, and activated-carbon gas filtration. Maintaining the foam pre-filter helps protect the more specialized downstream filtration components while supporting proper airflow through the system.
Unlike the previous disposable-style pre-filter used with the Micro system, the updated foam media is washable and reusable. PAT recommends keeping a framed foam filter installed in the system along with a spare replacement foam filter, allowing the spare to be installed while the other foam element is being cleaned or dried.

- Remove the foam from the compatible frame as required for cleaning and maintenance.
- Allow washed foam to dry completely before reinstalling it into the filter frame.
- Never reinstall a wet foam filter into the filtration system.
- Keep an additional foam element available so the Micro unit can remain operational while another filter is being cleaned and dried.
- Inspect the foam for damage or excessive wear before returning it to service.
- Replace the foam if it becomes damaged, permanently clogged, or can no longer be effectively cleaned.
- Periodically inspect the downstream HEPA and OXY-Carbon filters as part of normal filtration-system maintenance.
This product is the replacement foam only. The supporting filter frame is not included.
